Naturally Perfuming Your Home: Discover Our New Home and Linen Sprays

Since the beginning of the Kanopé adventure, many of you have asked us for a fragrance collection to scent your indoor spaces. A while ago, we introduced our scented oils for diffusers, an invitation to transform your home into a haven of well-being through the beauty and benefits of essential oils.

Today, we’re going even further with a new collection of home and linen fragrances, made exclusively from essential oils.
Easy to use, these fragrances allow you to scent your spaces with just a simple gesture.

A Desire to Offer a New Olfactory Experience

Since the launch of Kanopé in 2021, we’ve noticed that while many of you love beautiful scents, you don’t necessarily wear perfume daily.
Sometimes, applying perfume directly to the skin can feel too intense or may simply not fit into our habits—habits that can also fade over time.

That’s why we wanted to create a gentler sensory alternative that subtly integrates into your daily life.

This new range offers different olfactory environments that can be sprayed both inside your home and on your clothes and linens. They add a delicate and refined scented touch to your surroundings without ever being overpowering. Whether to refresh your living space, give your sheets a new olfactory dimension, or enjoy a light, natural trail on your clothes, these fragrances are designed to suit all your desires.

A Collection Inspired by Nature

This new collection brings back the olfactory signatures of our scented oils that you already love, along with a brand-new creation that has been in the works for months:

• Lagune: A sun-soaked escape. The intoxicating scent of frangipani blends with exotic coconut notes and the zesty freshness of lime. A vacation breeze to instantly transport you to the beach.
• Mangrove: At the ocean's edge, where land and water intertwine, a unique ecosystem unfolds. The freshness of bergamot and neroli meets the smoky notes of hinoki, vetiver and lavender, capturing the poetry of this timeless place.
• Om: A warm and enveloping fragrance, with the woody depth of Palo Santo combined with the mineral scents of incense and the sweet softness of resins. A true olfactory ritual to bring calm and serenity around you.
• Boréale: A creation close to my heart that I am delighted to finally share with you. An immersion into the vast northern forests, carrying a pure and invigorating air with fresh, resinous notes that evoke the majesty of conifers under a clear winter sky.

An Exclusive Fragrance for a TV Show About Books

In addition to this new collection, we are thrilled to unveil an entirely new olfactory creation, specially designed for the television show À livre ouvert, hosted by Mariana Mazza.
This home spray aims to capture the scent of old books—an essence both nostalgic and comforting, instantly transporting you into the hushed universe of libraries and the yellowed pages of timeworn books. An exclusive launch set for Friday, February 21st.

Every book has its own scent, depending on the paper used, the ink, the glue used for binding... The smell of a book is a complex blend of hundreds of odorant molecules. In addition to the dusty, damp, tangy and vanilla notes, there's sometimes a leathery touch, reminiscent of old bindings, and a slightly honeyed sweetness, reminiscent of paper with a patina of age.

To soak up this atmosphere, I wandered through the second-hand bookshops on Mont-Royal Avenue, literally plunging my nose into various books. And I chose one in particular to use as a model for my creation. Once I had the book in hand, it took me many tries to find the ideal raw materials and the right proportions. Almond was the obvious choice, with its powdery, soft, slightly bitter and subtly sweet aroma, reminiscent of the fine layer of dust that settles on old books. I then needed a woody essence to evoke the characteristic scent of the pages. After several experiments, I chose cypriol, a plant with fragrant roots that offers dry, slightly smoky woody notes, with an earthy base evoking aged paper. For added depth and warmth, I combined cedarwood, with its mellow, enveloping trail. Finally, to recreate the damp, resinous, earthy nuances that permeate some old books, patchouli (The story of a symbol - Patchouli) and vetiver (The deep roots of perfumery) were the obvious choice.This is just a small sample of the olfactory palette that makes up Papyrus, but it gives you an idea of its universe.

With Papyrus, I wanted to create a fragrance that transports us to a world where we can relive the stories we've read, and where each breath is a gentle return to the pages of a precious book.

As a passionate reader, it was a great pleasure for me to realize this project. For me, books and perfumes share this unique ability to take us on a journey and offer us suspended moments. What fascinated me most about this experience was the desire to go even further. I'd like to explore a fragrance that takes into account not only the scent of the book, but also its author, its world, its history. As a great admirer of Jane Austen, I would have loved to create a fragrance inspired by one of her works, where romance, wit and criticism of social conventions come together... Perhaps an idea for a future creation?
